A life-long resident of the San Francisco Bay Area, Sharon Hiebing has always had the entrepreneurial spirit. After being “employed” in the telecommunications industry for 11 years, in 1999 she studied for and received her California Real Estate license. Then in 2002, she and a partner purchased a very successful pool company. Within five years they had doubled the revenues of the business, and after eight years, she decided to sell the business and fulfill a life-long dream.
In the Summer of 2010, Sharon put everything she owned in 3 suitcases and moved out of the United States of America to a small Central American country, called Belize. Upon arriving, she first lived on the island of Ambergris Caye in a little town named San Pedro. Turquoise blue oceans, white sand beaches, and swaying palm trees, the island had a lot to offer. But ultimately, it was a bit too crowded, expensive, and Americanized for her taste.
So she packed up again and headed to the hills of Western Belize, and settled in San Ignacio Town in the Cayo District. Now surrounded by rainforest, rivers, and ruins, Sharon began creating the life she had always dreamed of. Living a slower paced and less stressful life suits her just fine.
Now, she is more passionate than ever about helping people to Follow Your Dream Compass, whatever that may be for your particular situation. She even wrote an E-Book to help others research how to do what she just did. She also offers Expat Relocation Consulting Services to anyone that would like support from someone who has “been there, done that”.
Since moving to San Ignacio Town, Belize, she has opened Red Roof Property Management – the only firm specializing exclusively on rental home leasing & management, caretaking, housesitting, tenant locator, and home utility set up services. The company also offers online advertising to all Belizean landlords.
